What happens if I apply single supply to a dual supply sensor or vice-versa?
Since the control electronics is biased by a dual supply the transducer and when the same is connected to single supply, it draws higher bias current from the supply voltage and permanently damages the transducer.
In case of dual supply is applied to single supply transducer, the electronics will be imbalanced, and output will be pulled to supply voltage rail voltage and permanently damages the transducer.
